    Hi Jonas,

Yes, I have been using it on iOS 8 and haven’t had any issues. Let me know if you do.

One thing to keep in mind is that iOS 8 has a new iCloud Drive. Once you upgrade to that, it won’t communicate with Mac OS X 10.9 or iOS 7 anymore. Keep that in mind if you decide to upgrade iCloud.

    Kind regards,
    Drew

I see. But can I upgrade my iPad to iOS 8 without upgrading iCloud? I'd very much like to keep being able to add cards on my iMac (currently running 10.9.4) and sync with the iPad.

Yes, I believe it will ask if you want to upgrade to iCloud Drive. You should NOT do that. Just stick with the current iCloud until you have OS X 10.10.

Thank you. I will wait until 10.10.

To something else: I have noticed that your app doesn't come up at the top when I search for "flash cards" on the App store. Instead other simple apps show up, and as far as I can tell they are not coming near your app in terms of features and quality. Is there any way to get your app to the top of the search results?

    Hi Jonas,
I wish there were. I mention ‘flash cards’ a few times in the text, and in the keywords, but Apple’s search algorithm apparently doesn’t work very well.
The best you can do as a customer is to give the app a good review :)
    Kind regards,
    Drew

    Hi Sajad,
I'm sorry, no. All you can do is wait for Yosemite, or try the Yosemite public beta.
I guess you could downgrade to iOS 7, but I don't recommend it, as it is not supported by Apple.
I'm sorry you and others are experiencing this.
It is not caused by Mental Case, but by Apple's new iCloud Drive, which cannot sync with older OSes.
Anyone still wondering whether they should upgrade to iCloud Drive should wait for Yosemite. (Note you can upgrade to iOS 8, but should answer 'No' when asked if you want to use iCloud Drive.
    Kind regards,
    Drew

What if I clean install iOS8 and say no to iCloud drive?

I don't think that will work. The change happens on Apple's servers.
I also think that if you make any changes on your Mac to iCloud data, it will never come to iCloud Drive. When you upgrade, Apple make a one time copy of your ICloud data, and that is it.
    Sorry.

    Kind regards,

I have updated my iPhone to iOS8 and am running Yosemite Beta on my Mac and I am having trouble syncing the two. I also run the app on my iPad, which seems to be syncing fine so far. I have tried reseting iCloud sync on all devices, still won't sync. This actually resulted in my desktop app syncing older files and getting rid of newer ones. Luckily this was taken care of by having to look up how to restore an older backup. I have tried deleting the mobile app, re-installing it, and then enabling iCloud sync, still no luck. When I do the latter, it seems the cases that sync to my phone are from a few weeks ago, and have since had stacks added to them on my Mac, but are not showing up on my phone. I have resorted to exporting the files to a separate cloud storage and uploading them to my phone manually. Any advice on this issue would be helpful.

    Hi Paul,

Did you choose to update to ICloud Drive when iOS 8 asked? Or are you still using the older ICloud document sync?

It would be worth checking each device iCloud settings to see if iCloud Drive is active.

You said you reset: did you press the reset button on all devices before enabling sync again?

When you update to ICloud Drive, Apple copies all your data to a new server. That could take a while, and may explain old data turning up.

I think the best approach is to give it time to make the update, then do a reset on all devices, and finally enable sync again on all devices.

    Kind regards,
    Drew
