Sync trouble between MC2 (IOS) and MC (Mac)
Hi there,
I’ve been a user for several years (IOS and Mac OS).
After a break I found out that some flashcard decks on my IOS device are frozen.
So I deleted MC for IOS and installed MC2 for IOS.
How do I bring my MC for Mac flashcard decks to my IOS device now (MC2)?
Mac OS is Mavericks. I don’t want to upgrade to Yosemite.
I’m a user in the sense of the word;-)
So I would appreciate an easy way to solve the problem being able to use MC for IOS as I used to do it: easy and user friendly
Best
Dirk

Hi Dirk,
Thank you for writing in. I'm very sorry to hear about this issue. We're continually working on improving iCloud sync. Please note it's important that your devices are all on iCloud drive (Yosemite, iOS 8.1) or none or your devices are, a mix between the two isn't possible.
I would also like to recommend checking out this article in our knowledge base. It has a lot of information regarding iCloud sync. Sometimes the only thing to try is to start over with iCloud sync, described from step 8 on.
We apologise for any frustration we have caused. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any other questions you might have, we're here to help.
Best,

Hii Dirk,
MC2 is designed to work with cloud syncing, which is iCloud at this point. Apple recently introduced iCloud Drive, and an unfortunate requirement is that all devices need to be using it to sync. That means you must have Yosemite and iOS 8 to sync via iCloud Drive. If you don’t opt in to iCloud Drive, you might be able to sync, but I have heard that the ‘old’ iCloud is not working well now.
The other option you have is to install the original MC app again. You can find it by going into the App Store, into Updates, and then into Purchased. It should be in the list somewhere, and you can install it again. You can then sync that over WiFi with the old way.
We are currently working on Dropbox sync. Should be available in a month or so.
Kind regards,
Drew
