I use both Mental Case and iFlash to learn Hebrew vocab (they
are both excellent but different).

In Mental Case there is a Hebrew letter that places a dot in the
wrong place. I understand this is a font thing - I use unicode on
the iMac for entry and the letter is correct wherever it appears.
It is also correct on the iOS version of iFlash. But it is wrong in
Mental Case. It's a problem without a workaround, really, because
when it is wrong it just looks like another letter.

Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this problem?

Many thanks

So it looks wrong on MC for iOS?
Did you try setting a different font in the app settings?
If you can determine a font that works which MC does not support,
we can probably add it.
Kind regards,
Drew

drewmccormacktag:mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com,2010-10-19:Comment/68615802011-04-27T21:47:47Z2011-04-27T21:47:47ZUnicode font problem

Hi there
I've been investigating further - the cases I've been using were
downloaded from the exchange. Notes I create myself do not
demonstrate the problem (which occurs on both the my iPhone and
iPad.
So I went in and reentered those letters. Each letter I retyped
appears correctly on both iMac and iOS. If I haven't retyped it
then it is correct on the iMac but incorrect on iOS.
I have attached a screen grab of the iMac and the iOS just to prove
that I am not going crazy! Then I will complete the retyping of
that particular letter in all words where it occurs. How boring! I
can only assume it is related to the keyboard layout that was used
when the notes were created, but I don't' know enough to be
certain.
I used a different source for the cards in iFlash, which may
explain why the problem doesn't appear in that application.
Will keep you posted, anyway, just for your own information.
Font choice does not appear to make a difference because it doesn't
display the Hebrew in a different font anyway. But I'm still
investigating that a bit.
Thanks for your reply!
