I went to deleted items to put it back and it put it back in the iCloud folder rather than "On My iPhone". So I copied it to its usual place in the On My iPhone > Studies folder. But when I opened the app, it didn't recognize it and treated it as if it was fresh with no data.

The earliest backup I have is from a couple of days ago. Is there perhaps a way I can turn the library folder into a backup, retaining the study history, and then install it as I would a backup file? Or some other solution. I'd rather not have to restudy everything from last two days if I can avoid it.

thanks

zeppotag:mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com,2010-10-19:Comment/482962012020-05-01T16:02:59Z2020-05-01T16:02:59Zaccidentally deleted iOS library when meaning to copy it

PS: I just realized I have an iCloud backup from yesterday, so I will at most have to repeat one day's worth of studying of about 150 notes (duplicating as best I can which ones I marked as wrong). But I would still rather avoid it if I can because I would still have todays 165 due notes after that.

In the meantime, I turned off cellular data and wifi for now to prevent another automatic iCloud backup of the phone that will override the one from yesterday. I'm not sure if it is possible to select a particular iphone backup to restore from what is on the cloud like you can with iphone backups to the macbook.

zeppotag:mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com,2010-10-19:Comment/482962012020-05-01T16:49:23Z2020-05-01T16:49:23Zaccidentally deleted iOS library when meaning to copy it

Hello,

on iPhone, in system settings you can choose where app stores Documents folder.
If cloud drive choosen there, you should put you Library into iCloud drive -> studies.

Also, there is an option to restore from backup:
open Studies app on iOS, go to side menu -> iCloud, tap on "Sync Library via iCloud" item with three fingers, backup list will open. you can choose a backup to restore. But please note, the backups DOES NOT include any media (images, sounds, etc), it's only database backup.

Hope that helps,

I don't have any media in my notes (media folder zero bytes), but are you saying the restore from backup list will not have my study history?

zeppotag:mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com,2010-10-19:Comment/482962012020-05-01T22:40:26Z2020-05-01T22:40:26Zaccidentally deleted iOS library when meaning to copy it

I ended up restoring my iphone backup from yesterday morning and was able to save a study session before it scheduled todays notes. The I just ran through my previous days cards with my the grading I remembered and began a new study session with today's notes. But I'm still curious if there is a backup for the iphone app that includes scheduling history data other than an iphone restore with a iphone backup (assuming you don't use the mac app). Otherwise, I will try to get in the habit of backing up my iphone after finishing the day's due notes, rather than just rely on the auto iphone backups to the cloud.

zeppotag:mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com,2010-10-19:Comment/482962012020-05-02T05:24:30Z2020-05-02T05:24:30Zaccidentally deleted iOS library when meaning to copy it

Builtin studies backup retains scheduling history as well as other metadata. It's complete backup of DB, just w/o media.

Vlad Borovtsov
