a preference for new note shortcut and screen capture shortcut

i would like to see a preference that allows you to specify a
default case
for your new note or new screen capture
via the shortcuts that can be set.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

Do you mean on the Mac? I guess so, right?
We will consider it for a future release. For now new notes go into the Loose Notes case, and you can organize them later. You can think of Loose Notes as an inbox.
