I can see this is not a great user experience for an Android
user.

Developing only for multiple Apple platforms already takes a
small company like ours enormous effort. The upcoming iOS update
has taken about 18 months.
The technologies we use are very coupled to Apple's ecosystem. That
makes many things easier and more integrated, but would make it
very difficult to support a completely different platform like
Android.

If it were possible to deliver a good Android app in a
reasonable time, I would be open to the idea, but it really doesn't
fit our current goals and approach. If you want something truly
cross platform, you probably need to give up some polish and go
with Anki or another offering.

If you can find a good export format, that is documented, I
would be happy to look at supporting it. (I'm less keen to play a
cat-and-mouse game of reverse engineering someone else's format.)
One of the reasons we have documented Study Archive is to allow
others to support it. Maybe you can convince an Android developer
to adopt it, with the advantage that they could attract Mental Case
users on Android.

Thanks for the feedback.
Kind regards,

Thanks for the information and I agree on all points, especially
with the one about "give up some polish". That is why I haven't
just moved to
AnkiDroid/Anki. I have both but the user experience is a mere
shadow of MC.

I like your idea of getting someone to support your Study
Archive format. I'll see if I can drum up any interest in that.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!
