Synched with Mac, synched back on iPhone, can't reverse any more
Hi,
I created lots of cards with the iPhone version. Later, I wanted to organize them better in different cases. So I synched them with the Mac via wifi, I created a few cases, I moved all my notes, I deleted the old case, I synched the new ones back with the iPhone.
Now none of the newly created cases can be reversed. Am I missing anything? Do I have to write them all again on the iPhone? I really need them to be reversible.
The new cases have the "reversible" and "lesson" options always on and not selectable.
Thanks a lot!

Hi Stefano,
When you sync, the Mac controls the reversibility because it has more options.
Just set reversibility on the Mac case, and sync again.
Kind regards,
Drew

I have the opposite problem. I don't want "Notes are Reversible" set to "ON" but setting it on the Mac and syncing it with the iPhone doesn't change anything. I cannot change either "Notes are Reversible" or "Lesson Schedule" in my iPhone now. Now, I am using the Demo version on my Mac and the paid version on my iPhone. Do I need the paid version on my Mac for this?
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,
I'm afraid at this point that if you sync notes from a Mac, Mental Case assumes that those settings are handled by the Mac. This is because certain options are not available on the iPhone, so the Mac offers more flexibility.
In future, we plan to bring the two versions into more parity, and then it should be possible to set these things from any device.
As things stand, you have two choices:
1) Keep using the Mac version for syncing (and pay for it).
2) Export your library of notes as a study archive. You can then import it on the iPhone by connecting to iTunes with USB, selecting the device, going to the Apps tab, and selecting Mental Case in the File Sharing section. If you drag the exported library in, the next time you launch Mental Case on the iPhone, it should import the library. As long as you don't sync again with the Mac, the iPhone will handle scheduling of the imported notes.
Hope that helps.
Kind regards,
Drew

Thanks Drew.
I don't mind buying the Mac version at all. I like the interface and the option of studying on either my Mac or my iPhone is appealing. I just got the iPhone app last week and was trying the Mac version out when I noticed this quirk. Easy enough to deal with though but it would be nice if you could change it on the iPhone as well but I can wait for that.
Both are nice applications. You all have done a nice job.
Thanks,
Brian
