New computer, how do I install Mental Case without purchasing again through Mac App Store?

I have a new computer and would like to install Mental Case. I can only find it for download on the Mac App Store, where it cost $20. Since I purchased my serial number (I still have the email with the serial number, dated 2010-09-07) before the Mac App Store existed I can't download it again for free. How do I use my old serial number?
