Mac App Store download not working
Hello,
i have purchased Mental Case via the Mac App Store but i cannot
start the program.
All i get is a dialog "Mental Case is damaged and can't be opened"
(see the attached screenshot)
Deleting and downloading Mental Case again has not solved the problem.
I have a non-App Store licence for Mental Case and the program was installed.

Hi Thorsten,
Hmm, can you perhaps try moving the old Mental Case app to your desktop, and then trying the app store again? Maybe it has problems if two apps have the same name.

moving or deleting the non-App Store App does not solve the problem.
I have also tried to install Mental Case via the App Store on another Mac on which Mental Case was never installed. It fails with the same error.

That's really strange. Nobody else has contacted me about this.
I assume you have Mac OS X 10.6.6, otherwise you couldn't install.
What sort of computer do you have?

Drew,
i have a 13" Aluminium MacBook (late 2008) and an old Core Solo Mac Mini. The MacBook runs 10.6.6, the Mac Mini 10.6.6 Server.
It *is* strange. I have installed a bunch of other apps (free and paid) from the app store and had no problems so far.
Now i have reinstalled the non-App Store Version of Mental Case. This version works.

I am not sure what is going on there. I haven't had any other reports of this problem.
I had problems myself, but that was because I had developer versions of the app installed, which I assume you do not.
Let me know if you learn anything.
