iOS background color
I assume the previous comment is in regards to a beta of your upcoming app. I am guessing you are talking about the background of the backround of the interface for choosing the various options and/or viewing the library. While I don't think this would distract me from my studies, it could make it harder to read font if there is some multicolored background behind it, so I would not like that. But if you are talking about the background of the facets themselves, then I certainly would agree that it would be not only distracting, but problematic. I doubt that is what you are talking about though, since currently you have the option to choose whatever background color you want for the facets. But if it is, please don't use some rainbow effect background on the cards!

Not sure which comment you mean, but yes, the background is not on the cards, but in the background around the cards.
