There are import options. If you go to the help, you can read
about a way to put the images in a folder, add a comma-separated
values text file with the names of the image files, and then
zipping it up. This format is called 'studyarch', and you can read
more in the help pages. But it depends on how comfortable you are
doing those things.

Even if you can import the JPEGs, you still may need to edit the
notes, to add questions or whatever. Import would only give you
one-sided study notes.

If you are prepared to share your images with me, I could
probably use a script to generate a studyarch file that you can
import and send it back to you.

Ok, well thanks for your willingness to script that folder.
Here ya go :

http://www.filedropper.com/311pic

istudiestag:mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com,2010-10-19:Comment/419231732017-02-09T15:44:22Z2017-02-09T15:44:22Zbatch import JPGs as flashcards

Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dfkjb1yu70eith6/Images.studyarch?dl=0

To see how I did it, you just have to change the file extension
from ‘studyarch’ to ‘zip’, and then you can
double click to unpack.

In short, the steps are:

Setup the folders that you see when you unpack. You need
Archive, Groups, Ungrouped, Images

Copy your images into the Images folder

Add a text file to the Images folder called Data.tsv

In that file, add the line

1 image

After that first line, paste all the filenames of the
images

Zip the Archive folder by right clicking and choosing
‘Compress’

Change the file extension from ‘zip’ to
‘studyarch’

Thanks for the indications, which I will try out.

It might be helpful though to add such a script in the menu bar
options or a button to click to automate such a process for the
dummies we are. Maybe this could be included in a small futur
update ?

istudiestag:mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com,2010-10-19:Comment/419231732017-02-10T08:59:42Z2017-02-10T08:59:42Zbatch import JPGs as flashcards

I’ve added it to the feature request list.
Not sure how many people want to have cards with just an image
though, and if you are going to add text or a question, it is
probably just as easy to drag in the image at the same time.
Glad it worked for you in any case.
Kind regards,
or
import file name on the second side, and content put in brackets on the first side together with image, like image title, or head/footnote?
In this case, I will save my images (for medical students) as:
Diagnosis (clinical history).jpg
so that Diagnosis will go on the second side and clinical history as a footnote on the first side.

Dmitritag:mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com,2010-10-19:Comment/419231732018-06-03T14:42:32Z2018-06-03T14:42:32Zbatch import JPGs as flashcards

I would recommend you set it up as your own study arch file. See http://studiesapp.com/studyarch for details.
