Importing from Anki
hi,
I followed the instructions from the knowledgebase for importing cards from Anki, but the importer does not fully strip out the html from the file (attached).

When importing, make sure you check the "Import text as HTML" option. See the screenshot.

Thx for the feedback.
1. the instructions are wrong/outdated:
https://mentalfaculty.tenderapp.com/kb/mental-case-for-mac-os-x/importing-data-from-anki
Following them let you NOT check the option (Point 5), but it should rather be checked
2. the Option is hard to find in the import-dialog, would be helpful if its open default
3. the naming of the option is not clear:
"Import text as HTML" is not clearly communicating what it really does (can I import an plaintext-file as html..? Is it saved as HTML in the database? Is the imported file comverted to a HTML file?)
should be imho something like "Remove HTML Tags" or similar.

"Treat imported text as HTML"
would probably be better.
The internal database format used is not relevant in this. It is just about whether HTML formatting should be honored or ignored.
