Lesson Interruption...

If I leave a lesson in the middle of it, if only to check an email or even edit a flashcard, the whole lesson must be restarted. This is incredibly annoying and disruptive to the flow of a lesson. "View Notes" mode allows you to switch back and forth without disruption so Im not sure if there's a way I can avoid this or why this would be included as a feature for lessons...

    Hi Kevin,
I guess you are talking about the iOS app, not the Mac app, right?
One reason we made it that way is that the lesson is a bit special, because it has the due notes. So you can just start a new slideshow, and you will get the remaining due notes. You shouldn't have to restudy anything you already studied.
But it is a good point, and we have plans to change this in the next major revision of the app. In fact, we have already changed it on the Mac so that any slideshow can be continued.
    Hope that helps.
    Kind regards,
    Drew
