Frequent slow downs/ pauses when using Mental Case on a MacBook 5.2
Hello,
I've been using Mental Case on a MacBook 5.2 with Intel Core Duo processor (upgraded to Snow Leopard and then to Lion before downloading Mental Case). There are frequent episodes where it pauses and I have to wait a few minutes before I can continue editing a card or making the new card. Is this a hardware issue?
Thanks for considering this,
Dan

Hi Dan
What do your cards consist of? Do they happen to have a lot of videos or pictures?

Hi Dan,
Mental Case needs to access the hard disk quite often. If there is something else that is completely dominating the hard disk (eg Time Machine, Backblaze), Mental Case can get stuck while it waits for the other process to complete its task.
If you find MC freeze again, I suggest starting up the Activity Monitor utility, and see if you see if another app is using the disk a lot.
If you notice anything else about when or how MC freezes, please let us know. It is very difficult to track a problem like this that is not readily reproducible, but just happens occasionally.
Kind regards,
Drew
