hand drawn formulas, compounds pictures (be able to draw a card)
Hello,
I have tried I think every flash card program out there. This is by
far the cleanest, and also with the most potential!
There is one feature that non of them have, and that is to be
able to draw your own card.
Take for instance the 20 amino acids, there are many cards
available for download that have them on it, but sometimes the way
I draw them are different than what they looked like as a
structural formula. It helps me to see them my way. Plus the
ability to draw reactions from organic chemistry and such. Or even
draw a note on card or circle a muscle group. I just would like the
ability to add cards with my own drawings, or mark on an existing
card for my own use.
Please consider this request =)
Michael

Hi Michael,
It is an interesting request. We will consider it.
In the meantime, you could use another app to draw, and use the screenshot facilities to capture it in a note.
Kind regards,
Drew

Hey Drew
Thanks for the reply.
The proposted alternative is very cumbersome. I have tried it, but it doesn't lend itself to the quick entry of data, that I need to study and remember. This is true especially for biology and chemistry reactions and such. Else just isn't very elegant.
I will be using your app though, it is the most polished and mac like of them all. I just hope something like this could sometime be added.
just simply
just another button beside: ( add image, record audio, "draw/sketch" )
or more complex add ability to draw on content
Thanks for you app by the way =)
Michael

We'll consider it. The disadvantage is that any tool we create would be inferior to a dedicated drawing app.
Also, I suspect the time consuming part of drawing is not taking a screenshot at the end, but the drawing itself. So while I agree it would go a little smoother with something built in, I think it might not be as big an improvement as it seems.
Thanks for the feedback.
Kind regards,
Drew

Hi
I just wanted to second this request for drawing/handwriting capability. It would add amazing functionality ton this great app. I'm studying for a medical board exam - there's some things you just can't type - some things can only really be drawn.
I tried the screen capture thing - it's too cumbersome to do it repeatedly.
Thanks

Concerning the image content portion of this program, it would be cool if you guys could find a way to zoom in and zoom out of uploaded images. Some files that I upload are pretty detailed, and it would really be nice if I could zoom in to see it. iFlipr has this function available. In iFlipr, when I upload an image file in a notecard, I am able to zoom in and zoom out of the overall flashcard on my ipod/ipad/iphone. Please look into this.

Hi Thomas,
If you are talking about the iOS app, you can double tap an image to zoom.
On the Mac, best to choose a full screen theme. We are adding quicklook capability in version 2.0 for the Mac.
Kind regards,
Drew
