Known Bugs and Issues
Mental Case 2.7.4 for Mac:
Issue: Cram.com downloads are not working, because Cram has removed support for third party apps.
Workaround: Use Quizlet for downloads.
Mental Case 2.6 for Mac:
Issue: App freezes when I launch it after the update, or it shows no stacks.
Workaround: This version performs an expensive library update. For some users, the first launch can take a minute or two. Just be patient and wait.
Issue: App crashes when attempting to sync with a library containing Smart Stacks.
Workaround: Turn off sync and wait for the bug fix.
Mental Case 2.4.8 for Mac:
Issue: After upgrading to Mavericks, the interface is glitchy, and I can't make new notes.
Workaround: Remove preferences file, as described

Mental Case 2.4.2 for Mac:
Issue: If you are using Mac OS X 10.7, and you turn on iCloud syncing, the app could freeze or crash.
A fix has been submitted to Apple.
Workaround: You can update your OS to 10.8, or you can disable iCloud syncing by entering the following in the Terminal application.
defaults write com.mentalfaculty.mentalcase.mac MCStoreDataInCloud 0
Press return, and then launch Mental Case.
Mental Case 2.4.1 for Mac:
Issue: If you are using Mac OS X 10.7, and you try to sync with an iOS device, the app crashes after you click the Sync button.
A fix has been submitted to Apple.
Workaround: You can update your OS to 10.8, or you can temporarily download and use the following beta copy of the app. Note that you should only use this copy if you don't use iCloud syncing for Mental Case.

Mental Case 2.3.3 for Mac:
Issue: If you sync via Wi-Fi with an iOS device, nothing updates after the sync. New notes from the device do not appear, and the due status of notes does not change.
In actual fact, the data has been updated on the Mac, but the interface does not refresh to reflect the changes.
Workaround: A fix has been submitted. In the meantime, after a Wi-Fi sync, quit and relaunch Mental Case on the Mac. All changes should then appear as expected, including due status updates, and new notes from the iOS device.
Mental Case 2.3.2 for Mac:
Issue: If a note is due before the current day (ie overdue), and you study it, its study schedule does not update.
Workaround: A fix is being submitted. There is no easy
workaround in version 2.3.2. If it is a big problem for you, you
can download a beta version of 2.3.3, which has the fix. Note that
this version cannot be used with iCloud, so turn off iCloud in the
Mental Case preferences before you install and run the
beta.

Mental Case 2.3 for Mac:
Issue: Trying to enter full screen mode will cause the app to crash.
Workaround: Don't use full screen mode. A fix has been submitted for this bug and should arrive soon.
Issue: The app freezes on launch. This can happen if you upgrade to 2.3 from an earlier version, and you were in full-screen mode when you last quit.
Workaround: In Finder, select your user home folder, and then choose Go > Go to Folder, and enter this:
Library/Containers/com.mentalfaculty.mentalcase.mac/Data/Library/Preferences
Drag the file com.mentalfaculty.mentalcase.mac.plist to your Desktop. Then launch MC. Avoid full-screen mode until the fix arrives.
Issue: If you were syncing with Dropbox, and used a symbolic link, the sandbox migration will fail when you launch 2.3.
Workaround: Remove the symbolic link in ~/Library/Application Support/Mental Case, move your data back to the original location, and then move-aside ~/Library/Containers/com.mentalfaculty.mentalcase.mac. Finally, launch 2.3, and the migration should work.
Issue: Audio recording is not working on Mac OS X 10.7.4. This is due to a bug in the OS.
Workaround: Upgrade to Mac OS X 10.8, or wait for Mac OS X 10.7.5, which is expected to fix the problem.
Mental Case 2.2.3 for Mac:
Issue: Some text gets chopped off in slideshow mode.
Workaround: Upgrade to version 2.3, which fixes the issue.
