Mental Case for Mac will not launch
If Mental Case will not longer launch on your Mac, there are a few things you can try before contacting our support email.
First, try reinstalling the app. Trash the old application and install with the Mac App Store. Your data is kept elsewhere, so putting the app in the Trash will not harm your library.
If that doesn't help, try moving aside your preference file. This can become corrupted, causing launch problems. To locate the file, do this
- In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder
-
Enter
~/Library/Containers/com.mentalfaculty.mentalcase.mac/Data/Library/Preferences
-
Drag the file
com.mentalfaculty.mentalcase.mac.plist
to your desktop -
Restart your Mac
-
Try launching Mental Case.
-
If it doesn't help, quit Mental Case again, and move the file back into the Preferences folder.
If none of the above has fixed the launch problem, you may need to look at restoring a backup library. You can use Time Machine, if you have it switched on. Follow these steps
- In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder
- Enter
~/Library/Containers
- Restore the folder
com.mentalfaculty.mentalcase.mac
